Traditional Turkish recipes
Turkish cuisine is extremely diverse and is characterized by a wealth of flavors and aromas taken from the multiculturalism of the entire region. The country located at the junction of two continents draws culinary inspirations from both Europe and Asia.
The country is very large and it is difficult to define uniform recipes. It often happens that the same dish tastes differently depending on the region in which it was prepared.
Turkish cuisine, despite being very diverse, is also relatively simple. The dishes that make up it are made primarily of meat and vegetables, which are most often fried in olive oil with the addition of sugar and garlic. We will find vegetables such as eggplants, tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, onions, zucchini, potatoes and cucumbers.
Turkish cuisine uses quite a lot of spices, including cinnamon, mint, paprika and parsley. In addition to lunch items, it also includes various types of snacks and sweet desserts.
